Used as an extension of the therapist's hands, the use of stone massage induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience that many find tremendously calming and centering.

Body Tempering

Body Tempering is a tool used to accelerate sport activity performance and recovery by combating soft tissue restrictions. Body Tempering is utilizing weight to assist in joint and soft tissue mobilization. That weight can be light (3-5 lbs) up to Heavy (165 - 300 lbs). It is a tool to improve range of motion, increase flexibility, reduce soreness, mobilize the myofascial layers, address trigger points (or tender points), strengthen tendons, and alter sympathetic nervous system excitation

Sound Therapy

It is a form of healing that uses different vibrations to heal the body, mind and spirit. It works on two principles: That different emotions vibrate at different levels, and that blocked, or unexpressed emotions, are the main source of dis-ease. you'll lie down on the massage table or a yoga mat, and listen up as a practitioner plays crystal bowls, you will be "bathe" in the soothing sounds and vibrations. It is a "meditative acoustic sound concert".

Ayurvedic Massage

This type of massage is designed to create balance among the mind, body, and spirit, and help the body heal itself. It’s sometimes referred to as an “oil massage” because it typically incorporates warm herb essential oils, as well as time-honored and non-traditional strokes and kneading that suit an individual’s needs.

This is a shared experience, a massage that can be shared with a partner, relative, or close friend. The massage therapists will start at the same time and coordinate the treatment for the couple. A couples massage gives the two of you an opportunity to experience massage together in the same area as one massage therapist works on each person. It’s also an opportunity to turn this into a romantic evening that can leave you starry-eyed, setting the treatment in a special room or suite large enough for two, beachside underneath the stars, or in the couple’s guest room at a hotel or resort.

ULTRASOUND

Ultrasound therapy works by using an electric current to create waves that travel through the skin and into the body, transferring energy to tissues. This technique converts ultrasound energy into heat energy, which can increase the temperature of deeper tissues, such as muscle and fascia, to help relax muscles.

This can have a number of effects, including:

ELECTRO MUSCLE STIMULATION

Additional Fee of $25 to get your personal electrodes pads

NMES uses electric muscle stimulation (EMS) to cause excitement in the muscle tissue. This stimulus is designed to mimic the same type of signal the brain sends to the muscle when working out. There are two types of muscle fiber: slow twitch and fast twitch. Both muscle fibers contract at different frequencies. Compex Electric Muscle Stimulators offer various pre-programed settings which target the specific muscle types differently by adjusting the frequencies and work to rest cycles. The training settings are set to run in time intervals that depend on the goal of the muscle stimulus. For example, an Endurance Program will run at a lower frequency to target slow twitch fibers, have a longer contraction time and a shorter rest cycle. The more you increase the intensity of the device, the more muscle fiber you recruit. This is how users see big strength gains, increases in vertical and reduce the risk for injury.

T.E.N.S

Additional Fee of $25 to get your personal electrodes pads

TENS can stimulate the sensory nerves differently, activating different natural pain relief mechanisms within the body. The two primary pain relief mechanisms are the Pain Gate Mechanism and the Endogenous Opioid System.

The Pain Gate Mechanism, also known as the Gate Control Theory, uses a high frequency stimulation to activate specific sensory fibers. When these fibers are stimulated it releases a non-painful stimulus that closes the “gate” that send the pain signals to the brain. The alternative method is using a low frequency TENS program to target the Endogenous Opioid System. Through this system you are stimulating different sensory fibers that produce an opioid effect, which helps to provide pain relief and reduces the pain signals sent to the brain.
